Heart week from a friend day-5

One of my childhood friend Jasmine Gilgosch who has CHD is doing this heart week post on Facebook. I know allot of people not award of this and she gave me permission to post each one on my blog. I been following her story for a while and I believe you should too. Below is day four and I hope we all learn something because I’ll be posting all of them.

Day #5- Heart Parent; My amazing, wonderful, fantastic, beautiful mother. She took me in when I was six months old and stood by my side through every doctor appointment, EKG, stress test, surgery, and everything else in between. She’s managed my medications, made my doctor appointments, made sure I had a healthy and controlled but normal life. She made sure even though I had CHD I lived like a normal kid. She gave me birthday parties at the bowling alley, movie theater, a hotel for my sweet sixteen! She let me have sleepovers and pool parties. She cooked for me and my friends, let me date, and just live life while maintaining my CHD.

I’m so thankful for this woman. She’s saved my life countless times in more ways than one and in some ways she has no idea about. I’m lucky to call her my mother. I love and miss her so much and can’t wait to see her again in July.

Heart week from a friend day-3

One of my childhood friend Jasmine Gilgosch who has CHD is doing this heart week post on Facebook. I know allot of people not award of this and she gave me permission to post each one on my blog. I been following her story for a while and I believe you should too. Below is day three and I hope we all learn something because I’ll be posting all of them.

Day #3- Surgery; I’ve had 3 open heart surgeries and they are as follows:

BT Shunt- I was a day old when they performed this surgery. This was the one where they called up to Boston. Essentially during this surgery the surgeon inserts an artificial tube to provide blood flow to the lungs.

Hemi-Fontan I was a year old when this was performed. This surgery is a preparatory surgery for the final Fontan procedure. During this surgery they focus on the superior vena cava (SVC) with the branch pulmonary arteries, augmentation of the central pulmonary arteries, occlusion of the inflow of the SVC into the right atrium, and elimination of other sources of pulmonary blood flow.

Fontan- I was two years old for this procedure. This surgery connects the pulmonary artery and the inferior vena cava. Once this producer is done oxygen-rich and oxygen-poor blood no longer mix. Unfortunately, there is a down side to the Fontan. Though it’s life saving it causes issues later in life. All Fontan patients will suffer some sort of liver issues in life. It can be minor or major. The price we have to pay to live.

I’ve also had 11 heart caths over the years. The most recent being June of 2018.

Keep in mind surgeries and heart caths are NOT A CURE. They are a temporary fix.

Trust

When I saw that this was the first word of the day, I thought of my girlfriend.

Since most people betrayed me before we got together. So most likely I’d to learn how to trust again.

She even notices herself that my trust was mess up and I’m glad she wasn’t afraid to mention that to me because she could have left a while back and it also allow myself to work on myself.

Deep down inside I knew I trusted her because she basically tells me everything that involves in her life. Any small problem or big she calls. No matter the time she always calls and I’m right there to listen and help the best way I can.

I started to realize she is really honest. And she trusts me to allot too.

No matter the situation, don’t allow someone from your past who treated you bad put an awful taste in people because you met that one bad person. It’ll have you thinking nonstop and make everything weird when you trying to get to know that person.

Today is going okay, trying to get some gaming in and so far it’s going well. If you reading this I hope you’re having a good day.

Quote #1

I was messing around on Facebook until I saw some inspiration words that I’d to share. It didn’t say who made the quote but I can tell they have a smart understanding about life and probably went though somethings. But here is the quote and I hope you’re having a good Sunday.

You might be poor, your shoes might be broken, but your mind is a palace.
Some good words eh?

Possibilities

There is a lot of possibilities in this world we live in

Like last night, for example, there was a possibility that my coworker was probably going to be late last night but he wasn’t it surprised me and my other coworkers because for the past month he has been coming in 5 to 10 minutes late. So we all just assumed he was not going to make it on time.

Another example like on Saturday. I was babysitting my daughter. For two whole hours, she was fighting her sleep, there was a good possibility that she was going to fight her sleep if I haven’t got her three slices of pizza and two bowls of ice cream. But guess what she slowly fell asleep. Which was funny to me because I asked her three times was you sleepy and she kept saying no… Kids lol.

Always remember there’s a lot of possibilities in this world. You never know what’s going to happen all you could do this live your life.

to whoever is reading this I hope you had a good day and I hope you have a wonderful night.

The Oaths I Keep

I always try my best to keep the promises I make to my girlfriend, my daughter, and friends.

I feel like it’s important for you to keep your promises no matter what and if you know for a fact that you can’t. Then you shouldn’t make one.

Some people are serious about taking the oath and keeping their promise and you should too. Even if it sounds a bit to the extreme.

I always try to make promises I know I’m going to keep. Simple that way.

Like my daughter for an example, I sometimes promise her that I’ll take her to the park that she loves or take her to the movies. When that day comes, she remembers that I told her that will take her( which I find cool).

Or my girlfriend, when we first got together, I promise her I’ll buy a Pandora set later on in the relationship and I did just that. And she still wears it till this day and still loves it.

Keeping your oath is also a good feeling. Just seeing their smile always reminds me of why I try my best to keep my promises.

I hope everyone is having a good day. I plan on watching soul eater on YouTube until I go home. Came in on my day off. Kinda just started it and it seems good so far but I hope you’re having a good day.

Boxing the Ungrateful

Nice word to use today.

Earlier today my girlfriend receive a message from her baby daddy mother. It was about the PlayStation 4 we got him for Christmas.

You probably think it was a positive message but it wasn’t. Just negative. She didn’t like that we got it from the pawn shop. We didn’t want him to break it so we thought that will be the best bet was to get a used one.

I told my girlfriend people with negative souls will always have a bad aura. No matter what words someone who is negative use, you just have to box them out.

I watch my girlfriend do everything she can for her son, I even help her when I’m able. But it seems like no matter what you do, their always that one person to speak badly about you then talk negatively like you not there for them when they ask for help.

I know we all have those types of people in our lives and it cannot be help. You’ll just have to box them out. Just ignore them. When they not making your life better or even putting money in your pockets just ignore them.

Negative people will always be around, just box them out and let’s hope they leave you alone.

I hope everyone had a great Christmas and I you a very good day.

Shambles

Wow, I finally have time to write a blog today and it’s the perfect word shambles.

first off I hope everyone who reads my blog is doing good it’s been a month since I post one and I totally feel bad about that.

My job been keeping me really busy lately. I didn’t mind it at first but it has gotten really bad that even I don’t wanna be here anymore.

People are quiting from left to right and it’s sad. One guy I enjoy working with is leaving this Friday and one I dislike is leaving at the end of the month.

That will cause us to be three men short. Even my schedule is getting a chance to overnight shift and I now will be working from Monday to Friday with the weekends off which I don’t mind. But even with that schedule, I’ll still have to do 16 or 12-hour shift because we will still be short.

Even with all this going on, I see it as a good opportunity to make some extra money. I can now spend some time with my daughter on the weekends because she has no school. I can spend more time with my girlfriend throughout the day and I can get some errands done if needed to.

Even with all this going on, there was still something good that came out of it.

Just remember no matter what you go through, there is always something good around the corner.

Conviction

Being guilty of something can lead to bad things. You wanna try to be truthful in life no matter what.

Telling lies and doing things behind someone back can always catch up to you and once it does, you’ll feel guilty because deep down inside you could have told the truth or avoid something out of your character.

Even when you dealing with other people, you’ve to pay attention to what they say. I’d some told lies to me when they could have easily told the truth and when they find out that I knew, they look guilty.

And that’s always the funny part. Seeing a guilty face when you know you’re right about something or caught them in a lie.

Never be guilty to state your own opinions about something you feel right about.

We all felt guilty at one point in our life and still probably do until this day.

I hope you have a good day and I wish a good Thanksgiving, try not to eat a lot of food lol.

Moonstruck

It’s okay to feel moonstruck, we sometimes are unable to think straight which cause us to lose all marbles in our head.

Like for an example. My girlfriend today forgot the car keys when she went to the store to pick up something for her son. She calls me because she was a worry but I told her to calm down and remember your steps.

She has not been thinking clearly today and she put the car keys on top of the potato sack.

I was talking to her on the phone so I knew her every move and I kept telling her to calm down and think.

She did exactly what I told her to. She went back to the store went a clear head and were able to find her car keys. She doesn’t even remember laying them down on the potato sack.

When you don’t think straight, you do things like that. So if you ever feel moonstruck, just remembered to calm down and think. Your mind will become clearer each minute.

I hope today was good for you, I’m a busy morning but end it with some Waffle House with my girlfriend, I wish you a good day.
